Antalya is the capital of the Turkish Mediterranean — the city and province that anchor the coastline known as the "Turkish Riviera" and Turkey's single biggest beach-resort destination. Along its shores you'll find everything from sprawling themed all-inclusive resorts and premium golf hotels to boutique stays in the cobbled old town, all within easy reach of Antalya Airport (AYT). Most visitors come for the combination of dependable sun, warm sea, generous all-inclusive board and Greco-Roman ruins on the doorstep.

This guide explains where to stay — Lara, Belek, Kemer, Side or the city itself — what kind of hotel suits your trip, and how prices and seasons work, then helps you secure a better rate than the public OTA price through our contracted-rate network.

Best areas to stay in Antalya

Antalya province stretches for well over a hundred kilometres of coast, and each resort area has its own character. These are the five areas most travelers choose, each with a different mix of beaches, atmosphere and resort style.

Lara

Antalya's long sandy city beach, lined with large themed five-star all-inclusive resorts — many with elaborate architecture, waterparks and entertainment. Closest major resort strip to the airport, and an easy hop from the city centre. Ideal for a classic big-resort all-inclusive holiday.

Belek

The golf capital of Turkey: premium five-star ultra all-inclusive resorts set among pine forests and championship courses, with some of the coast's most polished spas and beaches. The natural choice for golf, upscale families and travelers who want the highest-end all-inclusive product.

Kemer

Where the Taurus mountains meet the sea — dramatic scenery, pebble and shingle beaches, a lively marina and a cooler, greener feel. Good for couples and active travelers who like a scenic, mountain-backed setting alongside their resort.

Side

A laid-back town built around Greco-Roman ruins, including the seafront Temple of Apollo, with sandy beaches on either side. Plenty of family-friendly all-inclusive resorts plus character in the old town. Great for combining beach time with easy-to-reach history.

Konyaaltı & Kaleiçi

The city option: Konyaaltı is Antalya's pebble city beach below the cliffs, while Kaleiçi is the charming walled old town full of boutique hotels in restored Ottoman houses. Best for travelers who want city life, dining and culture rather than a self-contained resort.

What kind of hotel suits you

Antalya covers a very wide range of holiday styles. Most resorts run on all-inclusive board, but the coast also has boutique old-town stays and straightforward city hotels. Here's how to match the property type to your trip.

All-inclusive family resort

Big resorts in Lara and Side with pools, waterparks, kids' clubs and buffet dining where food and drinks are covered — the easy, budget-predictable choice for families. Tell us your children's ages and we'll filter for genuine kids' facilities.

Luxury Belek 5-star

Premium ultra all-inclusive resorts in Belek with extensive spas, à la carte restaurants, golf access and private beaches. The pick for couples and families who want the most polished, high-end all-inclusive experience on the coast.

Boutique old-town stay

Intimate boutique hotels in Kaleiçi, Antalya's historic walled quarter — restored houses, courtyards and rooftop terraces a short walk from the harbour. Ideal for couples and culture-focused travelers who prefer character over a mega-resort.

City hotel

Practical, well-located hotels in central Antalya or near Konyaaltı beach, on bed-and-breakfast or half-board terms. A flexible base for sightseeing, dining out and day trips when you don't want to be tied to one resort.

Prices, seasons & getting there

Antalya's resort season runs roughly from April to October. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, with the highest rates; May–June and September–October are the ideal shoulder seasons — warm sea, comfortable temperatures and better value. Outside this window many beach resorts wind down, though the city and old town stay open year-round.

As a guide, value all-inclusive resorts run from approximately $80–130 per night, while premium Belek five-star resorts are typically around $180–350 or more per night, depending on season, board level and how far ahead you book. Because we work on contracted net rates rather than public OTA pricing, we can often beat the rate you see online for the same room and dates — and we'll always tell you honestly when the public price is already the best available.

Almost everyone arrives via Antalya Airport (AYT), a short drive from the city and Lara and within easy reach of Belek, Kemer and Side. Resorts are spread along the coast, so a pre-booked private transfer is the simplest way to reach your hotel — just ask and we'll arrange one with your stay. From Antalya it's easy to add excursions such as the Düden Waterfalls, the ancient theatre at Aspendos, the ruins of Perge and the mountain coast at Olympos.

Frequently asked questions

Which area of Antalya is best to stay in?

It depends on your trip. Lara has the long sandy city beach and big themed all-inclusive resorts; Belek is the upscale golf and luxury hub; Kemer offers scenery where the mountains meet the sea; Side combines sandy beaches with Greco-Roman ruins; and Konyaaltı/Kaleiçi suit travelers who want the city beach and the boutique old town. Tell us your priorities and we'll match the area to them.

How much does an all-inclusive resort in Antalya cost?

As a guide, value all-inclusive resorts run from approximately $80–130 per night, while premium Belek five-star resorts are typically around $180–350 or more per night. The exact figure depends on season, board level and how early you book — we'll quote net rates for your specific dates.

Are Antalya resorts all-inclusive?

Most of them are — all-inclusive and ultra all-inclusive board is the standard along the Antalya coast, especially in Lara, Belek and Side. That said, the area also has boutique old-town hotels and city hotels on bed-and-breakfast or half-board terms if you prefer more flexibility.

When is the best time to visit Antalya?

The resort season runs roughly April to October. July and August are the hottest and busiest; May–June and September–October are the ideal shoulder seasons, with warm sea, comfortable temperatures and better value. Outside this window many beach resorts wind down.

Which airport do I use for Antalya?

Antalya Airport (AYT) serves the whole region. It's a short drive from the city and Lara, and within easy reach of Belek, Kemer and Side. As resorts are spread along the coast, we recommend a pre-booked private transfer, which we can arrange with your stay.

Can you get a better rate than Booking.com or Expedia?

Often, yes. As a DMC we hold contracted net rates with 257+ hotels and can frequently price below the public OTA rate for the same room and dates. When the online price is already the best available, we'll tell you so.
